FAQ's

Q: What is concrete resurfacing and spray on paving?

A: Concrete resurfacing and spray on paving is coloured concrete that is sprayed onto the existing concrete. The product we use has been specifically designed and formulated to be applied to any concrete both new or old.

Q: How do you prepare the surface prior to spraying the concrete?

A: We prepare the existing concrete surface prior to resurfacing by removing any existing concrete coatings like paint if necessary, acid wash then high pressure clean and repair any defects.

Q: Do you need to have a pattern as part of the finish?

A: No, you can have the finish with or without a "paving" pattern.

Q: Is spray on paving just paint?

A: No, it's concrete re-surfacing. It's coloured concrete that is sprayed onto the existing concrete.

Q: Is spray on paving hard-wearing, and suitable for driveways?

A: Yes, we use a single pack polymer modified cement coating system that creates a very hard-wearing surface, perfect for driveways.

Q: Do you apply a sealer on top of the spray on paving?

A: Yes. Applying sealer to your concrete not only improves the appearance of your decorative concrete by adding lustre and sheen, it will add abrasion resistance, make it easier to clean, protect it from the harsh Australian UV and possible staining

Q: Do you offer a warranty for spray on paving?

A: There is a 5 year warranty on the spray on concrete product we use. It will not lift off, bubble or peel. We also ensure all our customers are completely satisfied with our work.

Q: Can you apply spray on paving inside over concrete floors?

A: Yes it can be done inside but epoxy coating is a better inside product.

Q: Is spray on paving suitable for garage floors?

A: Yes it is but again epoxy is a better product for garages as it's chemical resistant.

Q: Can you repair the concrete first?

A: Yes small cracks can be repaired, as long as its not structural.

Q: Can spray on paving be applied over existing brick paving?

A: Only if the bricks are concreted in with no movement, if just sanded in, no.

Q: Do you clean and seal existing concrete?

A: If it has some sort of existing coating on it whether its sandstone or and old spray pave, then yes. Old concrete is too porous to hold a sealer.

Q: What if the existing surface has been painted previously?

A: The surface needs to be possibly ground off depending on age etc.

Q: Do you have a product that you apply over existing tiles?

A: It depends on the tile surface, but most times tiles need to be removed.

Q: Why is it important to regularly clean your concrete surfaces?

A: Cleaning your concrete on a regular basis will remove dirt, mould, oil and other contaminants that have been dropped, blown or washed onto the surface that could lead to permanent staining.
